Day 1: Discovering Your Divine Purpose

Reading: Jeremiah 29:11-13, Ephesians 2:10

Devotional: God is a perfectionist, creating everything with intention and purpose. Just as Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday was deliberate, so too is God's plan for your life. Today, reflect on the unique purpose God has given you. Are you living in alignment with that purpose? Ask God to reveal His vision for your life and to give you the courage to pursue it wholeheartedly. Remember, you were created to be a carrier of God's Kingdom. How can you manifest that purpose in your daily life?

Day 2: Seeing With Spiritual Eyes

 Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Hebrews 11:1-3

Devotional: Jesus instructed His disciples to look for a specific colt, teaching us the importance of spiritual vision. Today, focus on developing your spiritual sight. What dreams or visions has God placed in your heart? How can you nurture and act on these revelations? Pray for God to sharpen your spiritual perception, allowing you to see beyond your current circumstances and into the realm of divine possibilities. Remember, you can't seize what you can't see. Ask God to open your eyes to the opportunities and blessings He has prepared for you.

Day 3: Embracing Your Kingdom Identity

Reading: Galatians 3:26-29, 1 Peter 2:9-10

Devotional: As believers, we are called to "put on Christ" and embrace our identity as children of God. Today, meditate on what it means to be a carrier of God's Kingdom. How does this identity shape your thoughts, actions, and relationships? Reflect on areas of your life where you might be settling for less than God's best. Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to live fully in your Kingdom identity, rising above mediocrity and embracing the extraordinary purpose God has for you.

Day 4: Surrendering to God's Will

Reading: Romans 12:1-2, Luke 22:39-42

Devotional: Just as the colt was surrendered for Jesus' use, we too are called to surrender our lives to God's purposes. Today, examine areas of your life where you might be resisting God's leading. What would it look like to fully surrender these areas to Him? Remember that true significance and success come through surrender to God's will. Pray for the strength to let go of your own plans and to embrace God's perfect will for your life, trusting that His ways are higher than our ways.

Day 5: Carrying The King

Reading: Matthew 5:14-16, 2 Corinthians 4:7-10

Devotional: As carriers of God's Kingdom, we are called to bear Christ to the world around us. Today, consider how you can "put Jesus on" every aspect of your life. How can you reflect His love, grace, and truth in your relationships, work, and daily interactions? Reflect on the challenges you face, recognizing that God is using these experiences to strengthen and refine you. Ask God to help you see every difficulty as an opportunity to showcase His power and presence in your life. Remember, you are a living, breathing move of God – how will you carry the King today?

Hey chat with friends about it!

We encourage you to continue the discussion with a few friends within your HOW Church Community.  Here is a short discussion guide based on Pastor DJ's sermon "It's Time to Ride".

Opening Prayer: Begin with a prayer, asking God to open hearts and minds to His message and guide the discussion.

Key Scripture:
  • Luke 19:29-38
  • Galatians 3:26-27

Main Points:
  1. God is intentional in everything He creates and does.
  2. We are designed to be carriers of the Kingdom.
  3. Vision is crucial for seizing our purpose.
  4. Our purpose has us, even when we face frustrations.
  5. Surrendering to Jesus aligns us with God's priorities.

Discussion Questions:
  1. The sermon emphasizes that God is intentional in everything He creates. How have you seen God's intentionality in your own life?
  2. Pastor mentions that "the greatest tragedy in life is not death, but to live life without purpose." How would you define your life's purpose? How does this align with being a "carrier of the Kingdom"?
  3. The sermon states, "You gotta see it before you seize it." How has vision played a role in your spiritual journey or personal goals?
  4. Discuss a time when you felt frustrated in life but persevered. How do you see God's purpose working through those challenges?
  5. The message emphasizes that "you don't have it, it has you" regarding purpose. How does this perspective change the way you approach your daily life and challenges?
  6. What does it mean to you to "put Jesus on it" in your life? In what areas do you need to surrender more fully to His leadership?

Key Takeaways:
  1. God has created each of us with specific purpose and intention.
  2. We are designed to carry the Kingdom of God within us.
  3. Vision is essential for fulfilling our God-given purpose.
  4. Our purpose sustains us through life's frustrations and challenges.
  5. Surrendering to Jesus aligns our lives with God's priorities.

Practical Applications:
  1. This week, identify one area of your life where you need to "put Jesus on it." Make a specific plan to surrender that area to Him.
  2. Spend time in prayer asking God to reveal or clarify His vision for your life. Journal any insights you receive.
  3. Choose one frustration you're currently facing. Reflect on how this challenge might be shaping you for your purpose.
  4. Practice intentionality this week by asking God each morning, "How can I carry Your Kingdom today?"
  5. Share with a friend or family member one way you've seen God's intentional design in your life.

Closing Prayer: End the session by praying for each group member to embrace their purpose as Kingdom carriers and to fully surrender to Jesus' leadership in their lives.
